Upon successful completion of the training, the graduate will be able to perform basic medical office procedures including EKG, collecting patient data, performing vital signs, CPR, First Aid, performing simple lab tests (e.g., Urinalysis, Hematocrit), preparing patients for physical examinations, and assisting physicians in minor surgeries. Anatomy & Physiology, along with Medical Terminology, are emphasized. Medical Office Assistants work in well-lighted clean environments and can choose to work a regular 40-hour week, or part-time, evenings, or weekends, which allows for unprecedented flexibility in your work schedule. The program consists of a combination of lecture, lab-work and externship experience to ensure that students emerge with the training and confidence needed to work as a medical office assistant. |

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE:

Anatomy & Physiology, along with Medical Terminology, are emphasized.
